When Meaghan came to us and let us know about her Soul Train-themed party she and Common Polished Event Planning were creating, our mixologist minds were whirling with potential drinks ideas.
We wanted to create something that suited her back-in-time seventies theme, got people moving, and left a lasting impression.
Signature Cocktail Suggestion
Our suggestion was to create two signature cocktails, apt for the theme and her guest’s taste buds. We’d serve these in disco ball cups to mirror the rest of the event’s decor.
Neon lights, vinyl players, and orange and pink hues sprinkled through Ronin Harrisburg as it transformed into the ultimate seventies disco.
Soul Train Custom Cocktails
We worked with Meaghan to create two signature cocktails for her soul train-themed party.
- The first of her two signature drinks is the Hibiscus Mule, a herbal infused take on the well-known Moscow mule. A signature drink that feels unique while still containing popular ingredients guest love.
- Alongside the mule, we chose a sweet and lightweight drink to contrast its herbal flavor. The strawberry vodka lemonade was the perfect refreshment to keep guests hydrated and boogieing all night long.
Meaghan titled her custom drinks creation to match her disco dancing theme. The Hibiscus Mule became Boogie Down, and the Strawberry lemonade, Let’s Groove.

Guests boogied through the entrance, dressed head to toe in brilliant, vibrant flares and flowing sleeves. Upon entering, they were met with a wall of disco ball glasses, brimming with freshly poured hibiscus mule or strawberry vodka lemonade— their first taste of the night to come.
It wasn’t long until their welcome drinks were dry and their taste buds tingling. The EMBT team were on hand to quench their thirst and maintain the vibes.
Serving drinks from our disco-draped bar, guests shuffled over to grab refreshments and admire Meaghan’s bespoke bar top menus and rentals, the perfect added details to her legendary soul train theme.
Movin & Groovin Through the Night
As the night danced on and the guests continued to lose themselves in the atmosphere of the forever iconic seventies Soul Train, the EMBT team were ready and excited to keep refilling drinks and listening to guests gush over the experience.
Meaghan and her friends and family hit the dancefloor, showcasing their Soul Train-worthy moves as the illuminated floor bounced beneath them. And when the night drew to a close, she had the EMBT team there to close the bar and wish guest’s a good evening.
